Transformative Human Rights Education (HRE)

With funding from NYU President John Sexton and Australian philanthropist Andrew Forrest (CEO, Walk Free) the CGJ produced a report on transformative Human Rights Education, that was annexed to the GCC report.  Led by Gerry Mackie, this report drew upon our expensive experience with transforming social norms.  Mackie summoned long-time CGJ research partner Beniamino Cislaghi, (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine) and established HRE scholar Monisha Bajaj, (University of San Francisco) to research and produce the 2016 policy report, Advancing Transformative Human Rights Education. This report was widely circulated among global HRE practitioners and put CGJ on the map as a leader in HRE research and practice.  Gordon Brown reflected on the significance of this research here.
