In 2017 the CGJ partnered with KoningEizenberg Architects, and Spurlock Landscape Architects in a design competition for a new Children’s Museum in El Paso, Texas. Designed to address community, culture, and sustainability, our Museum in a Park proposal leveraged El Paso’s distinctive, mountainous, desert location and binational identity as a launching point for learning. CGJ Directors Forman and Cruz led the community engagement and design components of the proposal, including binational relations with educational and cultural institutions in Ciudad Juarez.
