In Summer 2014 The Center on Global Justice collaborated with the City of San Diego Civic Innovation Lab and the nonprofit Groundwork San Diego to transform a blighted vacant lot in Encanto, along the Chollas Creek, into a public gathering space that is programmed by local community organizations in collaboration with UCSD.  Funded by a 50K grant from the TKF Foundation, secured by Groundwork.
